Dr. Bruce Mohr
Bruce Mohr MD, CCFP(EM), Dip. Sport Med., was the Medical Director of the Whistler Health Care Centre from 2000 to 2005. Dr. Mohr is certified in Emergency Medicine with the College of Family Physicians of Canada and in Sport Medicine with the Canadian Association of Sport Medicine and has a professional interest in injury management in the field and the rural setting.
Dr. Mohr has provided medical coverage for the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary , the 2002 Canada Summer Games and numerous World Cup Downhill races with the Canadian Alpine Ski Team.
Bruce is a member of the Volunteer Physician Ski Patrol program on Blackcomb Mountain , the Canadian Alpine Ski Team Physician Group, and the Wiegele's Heliski Guide/Physician Group. Bruce is also no stranger to the role of being a patient himself.
The Whistler Health Care Centre is a diagnostic and treatment facility that cares for 24,000 patients annually, many of whom are injured while skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking. The medical staff here have developed a high level of expertise at managing orthopedic injuries.
